Irish Soda Bread with Raisins and Caraway
Butter
Corned Beef, Cabbage & Potatoes
Traditional Irish fare - slow-cooked corned beef served with cabbage, carrots, and potatoes.
Staccato
Chocolate Guiness Mousse
Dark chocolate and Guiness mousse topped with Guiness whipped cream.
Port In A Storm
The cost per person is $30, which includes all food and wine pairings. Paid reservations are required in advance. Seating is extremely limited! Call (517) 764-0679 to make your reservations.
Vegetarian menu available with advanced notice.
The Great American Bake Sale!
Sunday, March 21, Noon to 6:00 pm
For the past few years we've been holding a bake-off or cook-off in March (to help beat the late winter blues!). This year we are teaming up with Share Our Strength to present The Great American Bake Sale. Share Our Strength is a national nonprofit that works with the culinary industry to fight child hunger.
Would you like to help make baked goods?
We'd love to have your help! To participate, just fill out the form below and email it to Heather, fax it to (517)764-3260, or send it to Sandhill Crane Vineyards, 4724 Walz Road, Jackson, MI 49201.
Prizes!
We're offering prizes to the crowds' favorites. When you donate baked goods to The Great American Bake Sale, you are automatically entered to win. Our customers will vote on their favorites, with the prizes awarded at the end of the day. The prizes are: Crowd Favorite - $50 SCV gift certificate; Best Chocolate Treat - $25 SCV gift certificate; Most Creative - $25 SCV gift certificate; Best Recipe That Includes SCV Wine - $25 gift certificate.
Attending the Bake Sale
Everyone is invited to attend! There is a $5 per person charge (donated to SOS) to sample the baked goods and vote for your favorites. And, of course, you are very welcome to purchase baked goods to take home with you!
What should I bake?
We'd love to have you make your specialty. And that includes just about anything that can be sampled and sold. Cookies, brownies, cupcakes, tarts, candies, breads, fudge... even savory items like mini-quiches. Generally, smaller items are easier to sell than larger ones.
All funds will be donated to Share Our Strength. Join with us to help end childhood hunger in America!
