‘Bringing Michigan wines closer to home’

MBTB17-3MBTB Tasting Rooms unites multiple Michigan wineries to bring a taste of the state’s wine trails to metro Detroit. Their focus is high-quality wines produced by partner wineries using their estate-grown and/or locally sourced grapes.

With representation from all four of Michigan’s major wine trails, the MBTB Tasting Rooms offer a close-to-home way to experience wine from throughout the state in a warm, welcoming environment – not an impersonal bar or a sterile supermarket aisle. Their tastings come in flights of varying sizes, allowing their guests to take their time as they find new favorites and rediscover existing ones. Because they suspect you’ll often be sipping wine with food at home, their larger tasting flights come with cheese and chocolate to enhance the experience. They are proud to further support the state by incorporating products from Michigan-based producers like Cowslip Creamery, Mindo Chocolate Makers and Champagne Chocolates. And because they want to ensure our visitors are tasting the grapes, not the glass, we serve all of our flights infull-size, high-quality Riedel stemware.

‘I’ve had inexpensive Michigan wines before, and they were just OK. Michigan By The Bottle gives you the opportunity to try a wide variety of quality Michigan wines, and I was very impressed by the quality and flavor. Michigan By The Bottle is a great place to hang out with your friends. They also host artists who show their works, which is very interesting. I enjoyed a flight of five different Michigan wines for about $20, and ended up buying two bottles of my favorite to take home. The staff behind the counter is very friendly and engaging, not to mention patient with those of us less knowledgeable about wine. They’re great ambassadors for Michigan wines. I spent a lovely quiet Sunday afternoon here, and look forward to returning.’
