About Us
Sandhill Crane Vineyards is a family owned and operated winery dedicated to making wine with 100% Michigan-grown fruit!
It all started when Norm Moffatt began growing grapes and making wine as a hobby after retiring as an officer in Detroit, MI. His wife Alice, sister Annie, and two daughters Heather and Holly got involved, and the five of them turned his hobby into a business! In 2003, they unveiled SCV to the public.
Norm, Alice & Annie are no longer with us, though their
memory radiates throughout the winery & vineyard.
