CAFE WORKER and tasting room associate

pART-Time Position

Sandhill Crane Vineyards is seeking a Cafe Worker.

We are looking for someone who is customer service oriented, has a positive attitude, and is interested in long-term employment with possible advancement or cross training in the tasting room. This position is starting at $11+cash & credit tips!
 

Essential duties and responsibilities include:
-Use of POS system for ringing up customers for food and merchandise
-Taking customers' orders and making food for them
-Keeping up on daily/weekly/monthly cleaning tasks and making sure the cafe is always as clean as it can be
-Observing FIFO (first in, first out) when putting away or taking product out of walk-in cooler
-Following open/closing procedures
-Occasional making and following recipes
-Sustaining a high level of product and company knowledge
-Using a high powered dishwasher and washing, and putting away dishes as needed.
-Running food and clearing tables
-Performing the highest standard of customer service at all times
-Making sure the food is at its highest quality at all times
-Taking necessary actions to follow kitchen health code
-Hair tied back in a hat or a hairnet, apron etc
-Other duties as assigned
-Able to communicate effectively with customers, staff, and management

Normal shifts vary from opening at 9am to closing at 7pm. Events may require different hours and can vary based on the occasion. Food service/kitchen experience highly recommended. Love for wine and food a plus

 

Shift:

  • Day shift

  • Evening shift

 

Weekly day range:

  • Every weekend

  • Weekends as needed

pART-Time Position

Sandhill Crane Vineyards is seeking Tasting Room Associates. We are looking for someone who is customer service oriented with interest in long-term employment with possible advancement! This position is plus tips.

Essential duties and responsibilities-

-Create a fun, positive, and inclusive environment for all customers
-Engage and entertain guests, answer any questions, and educate on SCV wines and activities
-Make wine recommendations and encourage wine sales
-Work in a fast paced environment
-Be on your feet for 7+ hours
-Ability to lift 40+ pounds
-Perform the highest standard of customer service at all times
-Able to communicate effectively with customers, staff, and management
-Keeping up on daily/weekly/monthly cleaning tasks and making sure the tasting room is always as clean as it can be
-Keeping wine stocked
-Other duties as assigned
-Must be available to work weekends

Passionate about wine! Service industry experience preferred Knowledge of wine preferred Must be 21 years of age to apply

About Us- Sandhill Crane Vineyards is a small, 3 generation, family owned business that has been open for 17 years. We treat all of our staff and customers as our extended family! Our focus is to showcase our fabulous, rotating list of wines with fresh, delicious food made with local ingredients. We like to work hard, listen to music, and have fun!

Salary: From $11.00 per hour
